When She Wants to Pray, Get Out of Her Way

Well, by now you all probably heard about grandma . She was nearly arrested a few weeks ago for being a menace to society. I think her version and the police officers version are a lot different. Her version is that she was minding her own business riding down the road when this cop stopped her for no reason and harassed her. The police officer version is that grandma was doing 75 in a 35 zone, was driving without her glasses (although her license clearly says she needs them to drive) and ran a stop sign to boot. He then asked her where she was going and she confessed that it was to church she was trying to get to and she was already late and what was he stopping her for? "CHURCH!" he cried - "Do you know what DAY it is???". Grandmother quickly replied that she thought it was either Thursday or Friday and he wondered how she could be going to church then. Gram promptly accused him of being a "jew", which I do not think helped her case any. By this time the poor cop was apoleptic, screaming and yelling and jumping up and down calling our grandmother a menace to society and to Florida and saying she shouldn't be allowed to drive. Poor grandma. Now she has to go to court. We may wind up visiting her in the slammer.

Our Next Family Reunion Will Be on the Toyota Lot

Larry and Pat bought a new car. It is another Camry. We think they hold stock with Toyota, so they try to buy up as many of their cars as they can, to increase their profit margin. I shouldn't talk though. I just bought a new Toyota too - the Corolla - a nifty little black car with a nice sporty tail fin. I like it a lot and it gets almost 39 miles to the gallon. Then again, I could always claim that I was co-erced into buying it (by Larry and Pat, who we already determined hold stock in the company). Our other car is also a Toyota. Who else in the family have they forced into increasing their stock portfolio? One can only shake their head and wonder. On another note, Deirdre started college. She is going to Deleware and I believe she is on scholarship! WTG Deer! She lived and worked in NYC this summer and had a blast. She just arrived and is crammed into a TWO person room with three people, but so far she says they are ok. She has a new email address so please note it on the email page.
